Radio Survey
Radio surveys is a set of services to verify that the vessel is prepared for navigation in a certain maritime area. The condition of the vessel and its equipment must comply with the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulations to ensure that the vessel can navigate without endangering the vessel or the people on board. Safety and efficiency are of paramount importance on board. The vessels operate in harsh conditions and must adhere to strict safety regulations. Vessel classification helps ensure operating licenses, control and reduce safety risks, and comply with strict regulations.
STS Marine Electronics is authorized by International Classification Societies to carry out GMDSS radio surveys (including AIS, SSAS and EPIRB) according to the latest IMO regulations.

Navigation & Communication
VDR APT
The Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) or the Simplified Voyage Data Recorder (SVDR) is a data recording system designed for all vessels that must comply with the requirements of the IMO SOLAS International Convention, in order to collect data from different sensors on board. The annual VDRS-VDR inspections required by SOLAS regulation V/20 must be carried out by the manufacturer or a person authorized by the manufacturer, in our case by our certified technicians.
STS is authorized by the various manufacturers to carry out inspections of VDR/SVDR equipment.
Among these services that we offer are annual inspections, renewals of certificates, preparation of check-lists, issuance of manufacturer’s certificates, installation, repair, maintenance, provision of spare parts, special parts and troubleshooting.
Repairs & Retrofits
Our service includes repair, analysis, replacement of defective parts and supply of equipment or spares. We also offer fleet navigation/communication/safety equipment maintenance agreements to our customers.
